Right to Work & Compliance Procedure

LucyJames Recruitment Ltd is committed to ensuring full compliance with UK immigration laws, including all requirements relating to Right to Work checks.

Before placement, we will:

• Verify your identity (passport or national ID)
• Confirm right to work in the UK via original documentation
• Retain copies of right-to-work documents in line with Home Office guidance
• Check visa expiry dates (if applicable) and add reminders for follow-up
   

• Face-to-face or digital ID check via compliant platform
• Secure recordkeeping of all documents for at least 2 years after employment ends
• Use of the Home Office Employer Checking Service if status is unclear
   

We do not place anyone who cannot prove their legal right to work in the UK.
